Documents contained in the Family Documents file contain the following files:
1. Will of James Mackay taken from the hand written copy found in the St. Louis,
Missouri Civil Court Records in 2003. Copy of the Will until 2003 were copies taken
from the handwritten copy in the Courthouse Will Book. I found when transcribing
there were some differences in the Original and the Will Book Copy. The signature of
James Mackay on the home page of this website was digitally lifted from a photo copy
of the Original Will and placed over parchment. It is his true signature.
2. Letter written by James Mackay to his son Zeno Mackay shortly before his
death in March 1822. Type written copy passed down through the Barker Family.
3. Obituary of James Mackay found in the St. Louis Inquirer March 23, 1822
4. Family Letter and Genealogy written by John Barker, grandson of James
Mackay and Isabella Long Mackay in 1896. Typed from Original Document.
